About Dreamy Reel World
A ranked codex of dark worlds on Steam. Fewer games, sharper verdicts.
What this is
Dreamy Reel World ranks a deliberately small set of dark fantasy games on Steam: soulslikes, grim RPGs, gothic strategy and action RPGs. Every entry gets a score out of 100, a tier, a difficulty rating and a long review that tells you who should play it and who should not.
How we work
Our editorial process is desk-based and AI-assisted. Reviews draw on official Steam store data, Valve's Steam Deck ratings, published system requirements, developer patch notes and the broad critical and player consensus. An editor writes, checks and approves every rank and score. The full method is on the how we rank page.
The name
A reel is a highlight reel: the moments that stay with you. We are not affiliated with online casinos, betting platforms or gambling operators, and we do not promote them.
What we will not do
- Sell ranks, scores or placement.
- Accept review conditions from publishers.
- Claim affiliation with Valve, Steam or any developer we cover.
